What this site is
Picture drills with instant answers and code references, a wiring sandbox, and notes on how Minnesota adopts its codes, made by an independent developer for practice.
It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), the International Code Council (ICC), the State of Minnesota, any licensing board, or any employer or school.
Not professional advice
Everything here is for education. It is not engineering, legal or code-enforcement advice, and it does not replace the adopted code, the manufacturer's instructions, a licensed professional or your inspector (the authority having jurisdiction).
Codes are adopted and amended locally and they change over time. Each drill names the edition it cites, and the adopted edition where you work may differ.
Electrical, plumbing and structural work can injure or kill people and damage property, and most of it requires a license and a permit. Verify before you act.
Accuracy
The drills, answers, code references, Minnesota notes, the sandbox's checks and anything AI mode generates can contain mistakes or go out of date. Drills marked "citation under review" have not had every detail confirmed.
Nothing on this site is a statement that an installation complies, or does not comply, with any code.
No warranty, and limits on liability
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the fullest extent the law allows, the operator of this site is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, including failed inspections, rework, injury or property damage.
Some places do not allow some of these limits; where that is the case, they apply only as far as the law permits.
Codes, trademarks and copyright
The National Electrical Code (NEC), the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC) and the International Residential Code (IRC) are published by, and are trademarks and copyrighted works of, the NFPA, IAPMO and the ICC. This site cites section numbers and describes requirements in its own words so that you can look them up; it does not reproduce the codes, and its summaries are not the code text. Get the official code from its publisher or through the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry. Minnesota statutes and rules are public documents.
The drills, drawings, text and software of this site are © 2026 the operator of this site. Use them for your own study. Do not republish the content or copy it at scale without permission.
Your content
Custom drills, AI-generated drills, your progress and your sandbox drafts stay in your browser; this site never receives them. You are responsible for what you create and for having the right to use anything you add, such as a photo.
If you send a drill to be added to the site, you confirm it is your own work and contains no code text copied from a publisher, and you give the operator a perpetual, royalty-free licence to publish and adapt it.
AI mode
AI mode runs with an API key you supply and calls Anthropic's service directly from your browser. Your use of it is governed by Anthropic's terms and usage policies, and any charges are yours.
AI-generated drills are unreviewed, can be wrong, and are marked as AI-generated.
Changes and governing law
The site and these terms may change at any time; the date at the top is the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If any part of them cannot be enforced, the rest stays in force.
